Chaco Canyon

Chaco Canyon is a remarkable archaeological site located in the arid desert of northwestern New Mexico, USA. This ancient settlement was once the center of a thriving civilization that flourished between the 9th and 12th centuries, known as the Chacoan culture. The canyon contains numerous well-preserved ruins of multi-story buildings, great houses, and kivas, which were used for religious and social gatherings. These structures were constructed using a unique architectural style and sophisticated engineering techniques that allowed for precise alignment with the movements of the sun and moon.
